because we already ban criminals from owning guns. it is illegal to sell to a known felon. assault weapons are machine guns which outside of 250k transferables are illegal to own except for pre and post ban dealer samples for machine gun dealers. you people couldn't even pass the most simple test on already existing laws yes it is always taking guns away from law abiding people when so called gun control laws pass.

@jodewar9108 machine guns are under the nfa. the assault weapons didn't ban a single assault weapon nor prevent any crime

@brittneyb444 there already is such a law already on the books. people who are deemed incompetent or a danger are already banned from buying firearms
