  2. logic on carbon fiber submersibles says they will survive the first deep dive but you have no idea how many more full dive cycles it will survive. hence do not use it on manned deep craft but on remote operated ones you can easily scan to see if it is cracking.

  3. Look up Triton Submarines. They have lots of acrylic submersibles. When you do get very deep your viewports are small since well you going to be using cameras to see what is there since there is no light and normal human visibility is pretty much nonexistent.

  4. the thing is people in the industry outright said there was no profit in Oceangate's business model since no one wanted these submersibles for oil and gas nor military usage. Unmanned deep sea craft are where the actual money is.
