@christinewyatt234 No, they did start this mess. Specifically, in 1947-1948 when they did a massive "October 7th" style ethnic cleansing that caused the 1948 war to break out. They started this whole mess after they fled there from Europe.

@sumduma55 Why was the Middle East peaceful before they showed up? And why did it become infested with wars as soon as they showed up?
3
I heard they have hundred or so jets in the air every day since July. How much would an operation like that even cost?

@sumduma55 Was the Middle East infested by wars before they came over and forced themselves on the people of the land?
1
@sumduma55 Who did the King David Hotel bombing? That was the first incident of terrorism in that region's history. What three groups joined together to become the IDF? Hint, they're all called "T" groups prior to becoming the IDF.

@sumduma55 They fled Europe to find a safe haven. Palestine was a safe haven for everyone until they showed up. The region became war infested afterward. Look up the King David Hotel incident, the Irgun and the Haganah. The IDF whitewashed its history.

@sumduma55 Yes, it was compared to today. Jews, Arabs, Muslims, and Christians were living harmoniously together there back then.
1
@sumduma55 Yes, it was. Why else would they flee there after ww2?
1
@sumduma55 Flee to Palestine. They fled there because it was safe, but it became unsafe afterwards because of their behavior, and the region became a warzone.

@sumduma55 All you've said is that the Palestinians were invaded and occupied first by the British and then by the Zionists. Every where has conflict, that's normal, especially if the people are under occupation. Despite what you've said, the area was still peaceful compared to other places like Europe. That's why they decided to come to Palestine in the first place.

@sumduma55 Well, here's your problem. You seem focused on defending baby killers that you haven't noticed I was initially replying to someone else on a different topic. You're the one who changed the topic and shifted the goal posts.
1
@sumduma55 No, you are just not the focus of this discussion nor my attention. You're just a side distraction for me, and it's kind of irritating at this point. You established a topic and goal posts that are different from mine. I was replying to another topic and tried to stay focused on that one, but you came with another and kept changing the topics you wanted to focus on. If you don't mind, I'll answer your questions later as you currently don't have my full focus and I don't really understand what your goal is besides defense of baby killers via pedantic semantics and "whataboutism".

@sumduma55 Me: "Nazis did terrible things." You: "Yes, but their rise was not created in a vacuum. You see, after WW1..." Me: "Okay, but that's not what I'm talking about. Nazis are bad, and they started WW2 and the Holocaust. " You: "Here's your problem. You don't like Nazis and don't understand their tragic history. You should learn more about Nazis before criticising them."

@sumduma55 Thank you, I understand your frame of reference now. The frame we were talking about is different. The initial statement was that Israel did not start this war, and I disagreed with that. They did start the war via the ethnic cleansing of 1947-1948 before the war broke out. The ethnic October 7th style cleansing was a major reason the war broke out. Furthermore, there's the issue of forced partition and forcing the Palestinians and Middle East to atone for the crimes of Europe and the Holocaust. Why not use Germany as a homeland as part of the reparations process? Saying history didn't start in 1948 is a completely different topic.

@BertGraef Ah, a tragic but unfortunately correct assessment. I guess it really doesn't matter then since Uncle Sam is paying the tab.
