The deliberate targeting of the WCK three times in a row despite coordination and permission from the IDF raises serious questions on the conduct of the IDF. Just how many of these "mistakes" happened the last six months and then blamed on Hamas using the human shields excuse?

@diegofernandez8328 3 times? Only once you mean? They invaded in 1956 with France and the UK and lost. They captured it in 67. They were forced to give it back in 73 after the war with Egypt. That's only once in 67. What are the other two times?

@diegofernandez8328 Only 67 counts as actual capture. They didn't for 48 and 56, and 73 doesn't count since they already had it. You can't capture something you already have. It only counts as 3 times if you want to be super technical or pedantic about it.

They don't trust them. They just annexed Syria and are acting like a rouge nation, so it's natural Egypt would take precautions.

@oronjoffe They didn't proceed towards Cairo because they suspected Egypt had Soviet supplied WMDs that they would use. Israeli army was exhausted by that time and Israel itself wanted a ceasefire by that point.

@ziyadtaher Egypt defeated the UK, France, and Israel in 1956. It was a very painful and humiliating defeat to all three powers. Egypt got full of itself and overstretched as a result and got involved in the Yemen civil war. It was their Vietnam. Israel saw this opportunity and took it in 1967. That's why the war was so one-sided, plus an Egyptian general immediately gave the order to run away the instant the Israelis attacked. The 3 powers got their revenge for the 56 war. The international humiliation forced Egypt to rebuild and become an almost proper army, and that's why they almost beat the Israelis in 73 before the US intervened. Egypt crushed Israel's ego and crushed the Israeli army in 73, yes, but after the US intervened, the tide turned. You can call it an Israeli military victory, but just barely or a draw. The actual war was won by Egypt.

3:27 Both sides are afraid of war with each other that's why neither has invaded the other. Yes, Israel can do a lot more damage, but it has significantly more to lose. The other side has an inferior but still potent and destructive capability that can wreck Israel. Israel is too war weary at the moment to take on the North front in a real war
