Zelensky was completely unprepared for this ultra-high stakes meeting and paid the price for it. He had no leverage coming into this meeting and talked to Trump as if he were his peer.

@marylousherman5471 If your courage and integrity were all that was needed to win wars, why is Ukraine still struggling after more than 3 years and 300 billion in Aid? I'm pro-Ukraine, but zelensky made a huge mistake in the meeting. He was looking for more handouts from the US but spoke as if he was a superpower and a peer to the US. Trump's egotistical, so he naturally got offended, as did many of his cabinet. Zelensky was warned not to fall for this trap by senators before the meeting occurred, but he still fell for it. He needs to resign or fix his attitude because he ruined the relationship with the US because of his emotional outbursts.

I think people are missing the bigger picture here. Trump doesn't want the usa to get involved in WW3, which is what will happen if the war doesn't end because Russia is too powerful. The longer the war goes on, the more likely NATO will get involved which will drag the US as well. Trump doesn't care about either side, he doesn't want the US to get dragged.
