Those who study the environment are not "the government." They are scientists that work for all of us.

We are all polluters, and we don't want to give up our "material comforts" that cause the pollution ... and that includes the multi-millionaire Jordan Peterson.

If you believe they are not environmental scientists that study the environment ... which group of people do you believe do study the environment? I'm asking YOUR opinion ... not the opinion of others.

@mikebelnap3079 Do you not agree that we are ALL the cause of pollution ... including Jordan Peterson. After all, he travels a lot. He stays in fancy hotels ... which causes laundry to be washed. He eats in fancy restaurants, using food, going to the bathroom. He buys fancy suits ... meaning that the manufacturers pollute the air, land and water to make those suits. We are all in it together ... so why blame others and not ourselves? It makes me feel good to take responsibility for my own part in polluting the planet. If you want to blame others ... then that's up to you and Jordan to carry on ... carrying on.

@mrsqueakthecat.8061 The fact that you and I are responding to each other on a personal level, suggests that we are not "bots." Computers are machines that do not "have" feelings or sentiments of any sort. They only spit back out what was programmed into them by humans. If they are unplugged from their sources of electricity ... they become useless pieces of metal. Humans are the real trouble makers. As for just one example ... computers can't be blamed for creating nuclear weapons. It's just unfortunate that we evolved with hands and feet. Because had we evolved with paws or hooves, neither science, nor religion would exist ... and we would live by the "natural" law of survival of the species ... which is eat or BE eaten ... as do all other forms of life on planet earth. Thanks for honoring my freedom of speech. As the human population keeps on increasing, that results in more air, water, and land pollution. As humans keep reproducing at a faster rate than humans are dying, common sense tells us that we are polluting more, rather than less. Pollution is a fact of life, and unless there is a major catastrophe, such as a nuclear war ... we will keep polluting, because that is just how much all of us enjoy our personal comforts. It’s not fair to blame the manufacturers of the products, because if we weren’t buying … they could not be selling. And of course, the manufacturers take their business to countries where the environmental laws are lax. We all look after number one first and foremost. So ... let us not point fingers at others … or expect governments to clean up the impossible messes that all of us keep on creating. What we destroy might ultimately destroy us … and that is only fair. Meanwhile, we should keep our fingers pointing at ourselves … where they belong.
