  1. Children should not be "expected" to be an unconditional source of love for their parents, or anyone else. First of all, they didn't ask to be born, to in turn take care of parents when the parents are unable to take care of their selves. They didn't ask to be born, to in turn suffer emotional and physical pain. And after reading the book, "Regretting Motherhood," I learned that many women, if they could choose again, because of the suffering of their children, would not make the same choices.
