Until his death ... Martin Luther was true to his personal interpretation of words in the Catholic bible. At that time in history ... there wasn't any Protestant bible. It was the German princes that coined the word “protest” ... which became "Protestant" and simply meant that Martin and his Catholic followers were "protesting" what pope Leo X was preaching as being truth from God. Martin’s AIM was to overthrow the pope and replace the pope with his self. He wanted to be married … and as a Catholic monk, that was not allowed. So … he swore that Pope Leo X was a heretical blasphemer and that HE (Martin) knew the *correct interpretation of the very same Catholic bible. “I am more afraid of my own heart than of the pope and all his cardinals. I have within me the great pope, Self.” Martin Luther. And of course, Pope Leo X referred to Martin Luther as being the “real” heretic. The tragedy of their choices … is that they were both just imagining that they knew truth from a god ... and that their arrogant behavior in turn resulted in division and war ... and the torture and death of many humans caught in the fray. And that to this day ... because of animosity ... has never created even a semblance of "agreement" in terms of biblical interpretation between the many factions. All the torture and anger and bloodshed could have been spared ... if only all the so-called "Men of the cloth" had said those three little words ... "I don't know."

Being that religion is all based on myths, it can't be reformed. And by the way, I suggest you keep in mind, that without the Catholic bible, there wouldn't be any Protestant bibles.

Environmentalists want to keep the jobs at home ... and the pollution elsewhere ... and reality doesn't work that way. Those who took the lofty title of “environmentalist” (who buy the products and are as much polluters as are the rest of us) … by demanding more and more stringent laws … made it almost impossible for the companies to keep manufacturing products at home. So, of course the companies moved to other countries, where the environmental laws were almost non-existent, and the people needed employment to in turn feed their families. The first President of the United States George Washington was fully aware that there had to be incentive to keep the jobs at home. @jenex5608 Are you suggesting that the Catholics never had their own bible before the Protestant reformation? Actually, without the Catholic bible, the Protestant religion could not exist, as Protestants were break-away Catholics.

The Church from the Reformation to the Present, Volume 2, by Clyde L. Manschreck ... comes the following. The Millenary Petition, 1603 This petition, supposedly representing a thousand Puritans, was presented to James I on his way to London. @jenex5608 The first Protestant religion was a branch off the Catholic religion. The only bible at the time WAS the Catholic bible. The word Protestant exists only because Catholics were Protesting against Pope Leo X. That is when Martin Luther (who died a Catholic) wanted to Marry an ex-nun, and as a monk, the only way he could do that, was to change the Catholic religion to suit his own will to get married and raise a family of little REAL Catholics. Like Job, they found no consolation in the usual answers to the problem of evil and suffering in the midst of this current obscenity. They could find no excuse for God, no extenuating circumstances, so they found him guilty and, presumably, worthy of death. The Rabbi pronounced the verdict. Then he looked up and said that the trial was over: it was time for the evening prayers.

As the human population keeps on increasing, that results in more air, water, and land pollution. As humans keep reproducing at a faster rate than humans are dying, common sense tells us that we are polluting more, rather than less. Pollution is a fact of life, and unless there is a major catastrophe, such as a nuclear war ... we will keep polluting, because that is just how much all of us enjoy our personal comforts. It’s not fair to blame the manufacturers of the products, because if we weren’t buying … they could not be selling. And of course, the manufacturers take their business to countries where the environmental laws are lax. We all look after number one first and foremost. So ... let us not point fingers at others … or expect governments to clean up the impossible messes that all of us keep on creating. What we destroy might ultimately destroy us … and that is only fair. Meanwhile, we should keep our fingers pointing at ourselves … where they belong.
