This is what catapulted Jordan to instant fame. It is an opinion (supported by many people in religion) of the content with which I absolutely do not agree, and that is Jordan's opinion that the Canadian government is "forcing" him to use words that he refuses to use, when in truth, he simply doesn't have to address the subject at all. I'm a heterosexual, and I certainly don't feel "forced" to use new terminology that shows respect for a group that have in the past been so terribly persecuted. It would be my honor, to in turn honor them. I suggest that Jordan's problem to address those who are other than male or female, stems from his bible "usage," that a god is offended. I was indoctrinated in a Christian culture and know full well that devotees of Christianity (especially in the good old days) believed that "God spoke through words in the bible, that said that 'HE" created male and female ... period ... end of subject." From my perspective, in this era we should know better ... and go beyond religious archaic hyperbole ... to be respectful of each other's gender differences.

Language is "tricky." For instance ... in this era, if a black person uses the N word in jest, it is acceptable. If a white person uses the N word (under almost any circumstance) it is considered hate speech. Yet just a short while back in history, those of the white race felt they could, and did use that word N at their leisure, and their pleasure, to in turn degrade and insult those of the black race. Rules concerning language are always changing. It's a pity that Jordan doesn't recognize that issue, and just go with the "flow." He's a very angry man, unless he is receiving the praise that he thinks he deserves.

@vizuz I'm Canadian, and have never felt forced to use words that I find offensive. Jordan does not have to use any words that he finds offensive. He can just avoid using those words. Bill C-16, was put into law in 2016. Do you see anyone harassing Jordan for not speaking words? He's a showman, wanting attention. You don't see him incarcerated, and on his hunger-strike, do you? He has a huge following of evangelical Christians, that in turn, agree with Jordan's version of the Christian bible, that a god exists, that created only male and female. Silly people.
