Because very brave people such as Doctor Morgentaler decided to update how abortions were performed ... countless lives of young girls and women have been spared from infection, mutilation, and death. Hopefully in the future more and more men and women will learn the upgraded training and also become doctors that perform abortions. Saving the lives of young girls and women must be the all-important reason that abortion clinics exist. If you are not pro-choice for women, you are pro-death for women.

@nbaclashofclanspro9198 What doesn't breathe on its own, is dependent on a host, and if the host doesn't want it, the host has every right to abort it. Women and girls do not abort a fetus of nine months gestation. Most are aborted very early in the pregnancy. And, by the way, if your sister, or your mother, or your grandmother became pregnant, and wanted a late-term abortion, would you rather she go to a back-street unqualified person, or, to a medical physician, that was trained to perform abortions? Please answer that question .... if you DARE.

@willpayne3475 A fetus-worshiper is one that glorifies the image of purity of the fetus, but knows that a living baby is damned hard work, worry and frustration. So, while the fetus is in the womb, the fetus-worshiper worships the ground that the fetus does not yet walk upon. But when the fetus is born, and becomes a full-fledged baby, the fetus-worshiper is nowhere to be found, because he/she is off worshiping more fetuses that do not affect the earthly comforts of the fetus-worshipper. And meanwhile, the fetus-worshiper credits him/herself from the egotistical attitude that the on-going job of harassing pregnant women, is WELL DONE!

@nbaclashofclanspro9198 Many women who claim to be against having abortions, sneak off and have abortions, and then sit in their churches, mosques, and synagogue, as though they are innocent. When doctor Morgentaler started his illegal clinic in Montreal, Canada, 80 percent of the women that came to him for abortions were Catholic. Do you think that their peers in the parishes were aware that they had those abortions? Of course they would pretend, because it they didn't, people of your mentality would keep on bullying them, and referring to them as being murderers.

@nbaclashofclanspro9198 By the way, women of the Catholic faith have a saying about abortion. They refer to it, as "Making angels," as in sending the souls of the unwanted gifts from God, back to him, so they can be safe with him for eternity.

@willpayne3475 A fetus needs a host, because it can't breathe on its own. A baby breathes on its own. That is why women that have abortions are not incarcerated for murder. And yes, I am aware that if a man kills his pregnant wife, he will be charged with double homicide. That is because he has taken her choice away from her to either carry the pregnancy, or abort the pregnancy, away from her. I believe you when you say that you don't give a damn about the women.

@willpayne3475 A fetus cannot breathe at all, because the woman's body supplies the oxygen. And if a baby needs oxygen when it's born, only a machine can keep it breathing. Back in the day, it would have died of natural causes. You really need to take a course in science, and get your self away from religious propaganda, which makes you believe that bullying women that have abortions is moral, while having abortions is immoral. But, the choice is yours.

Former Chief Coroner of Ontario Morton Shulman recalls that in the sixties, abortion could be legally performed only to save the life of the mother, so there were practically no legal abortions. He stated that the pregnant daughters of the rich were sent to a reliable physicians who did abortions for cash. He estimated that these physicians did twenty to thirty abortions per week. Woman who were not rich were left to perform an abortion on themselves or go to what he called a "nurse" abortionist. Their method was commonly pumping Lysol™ into the woman's womb. The mortality rate was high and the infection rate over 50%. @willpayne3475 There is a reason that the medical words, zygote, embryo, fetus, and baby are all different. If women want to be pregnant, they will all use the word "baby" as reference to their joy of being pregnant. Been there ... did that ... four times. For whatever reasons, f they don't want to be pregnant, women in despair, will even use the word "parasite," to explain the pregnancies. You can judge their "morality" if it pleases you, and makes you feel all powerful, and maybe HOLY ... but they are still going to rid their bodies of the embyos, and fetuses, and anyone with a sense of common decency, would want those women to survive the abortions.

@braydenebel8799 A fetus is not a "child." A baby or a child breathes on its own. One can't murder what does not yet breathe. That is why women are not incarcerated for having abortions. Would you like them to be incarcerated? Would that make you feel holy, while you label them as being evil?

@willpayne3475 By your demanding "will" to make abortion illegal, you will "willingly" remove qualified physicians, so that women who are desperate to have abortions, will end up performing their own abortions, or going to unqualified people, where they will become infected, mutilated and die. as occurred before abortion "was" legal. @willpayne3475 The subject is abortion. I hope you read the following. Many years ago, a man and his wife of the Jehovah's Witness denomination came to my door to proselytize their beliefs. I invited them in, treated them with dignity, and we discussed our own ways of believing. I was still under my own spell of religion at that time. When the subject turned to the issue of abortion, the woman made it plain that she looked down on women for what she perceived was their heartless acts of aborting “babies.” When I asked her if there was a woman in her presence that suffered from a botched abortion if she would help her, she answered in a haughty manner, "I don't know!!! She chose to do that, so, I just don't know!" I then asked the question, "From your perception, what do you believe Jesus would do in that circumstance?" She stared at me, speechless. Her husband, whose head was hung as he stared at the floor finally broke the silence. With a voice that was barely audible, he said, "I believe Jesus would help the woman." It might not be a good idea to be too hasty about what your supposed savior “believes.”

I believe that because of religion, you are certain that a god exists that is offended by abortion, and that you believe you are a theologian, that in turn knows the mind of that god. When Catholics and Protestants were killing each other as being heretics, they also thought they were theologians that knew the mind of the supposed god's will. @braydenebel8799 A person on a ventilator had already breathed, and a fetus that became a baby and then went on a ventilator would not have lived without the ventilator. I agree that the cells that created human bodies were alive ... otherwise humans would not exist. You still never answered my question, so I will now ignore you. I suggest you go try to bully women who have abortions, and see if they care what you think, one way or the other. I'm sure they will ignore you, as they should.

For whatever reasons, if they are desperate to not be pregnant, some women will even refer to what is in them as being parasites. You can judge what you are certain is their “sin-filled lack of morality" if it pleases you, and makes you feel all powerful, and maybe even holier than thou, but they are still going to rid their bodies of the pregnancies, and anyone with a sense of common decency, would want those women to survive the abortions, and be able to go home to those who love them. From my perception, we must keep abortion clinics with qualified doctors open … legal and available.

And the second theory is that "God" chooses to put the souls of the fetuses into the women where "God" thinks that each soul should personally inhabit. SCREWSTON TEXAS If devotees used the word "thoughts" rather than the word "souls" ... I suggest it would seem ridiculous, when human animals die, to say "His or her thoughts will either go flying off to heaven ... or to hell ... or to reincarnate." Without the word "soul," there couldn't be any religion. All stories are based on what the soul is thinking, and what the soul is doing, and where the soul came from, and where the soul is going after death of the physical body. Fortunes have been made by theologians who taught that the soul is a gift from God, and that women must never have abortions, because abortions offend God's gift to humanity. Evolution of the soul is a huge seller in religion. It means that your soul is ever upgrading and will hopefully soon make the grade of God's "entire" approval of enlightenment and salvation … or … that in the afterlife something horrible could happen to your soul. If you remove the word "soul" from religion, you will not have anything but ground zero.

@jan-bean They are pro-life for the fetuses, but not pro-life for the women who have abortions, as they could care less if the women die from botched abortions. I suggest that most of them are of the belief that a god exists that places high value on human fetuses, that these so-called pro-lifers in turn refer to as "babies." If they would think beyond their religious hyperbole, they would know that if a god existed, it would be the most prolific abortionist ever, considering how many women who desperately want to stay pregnant, continually lose their pregnancies.
