We are all hallucinating all the time, including right now. It’s just that when we agree about our hallucinations, we call that reality. Anil Seth … neuroscientist.

@jimmyjoe1488 Maybe Albert Einstein was right, when he stated, "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."

@jimmyjoe1488 Those who agree with Einstein, will believe he was right. Those who disagree, will believe he was wrong. That is human nature in a nutshell. I don't know about you, but I relate to the following quote ... ""Who can ever know what path to walk on when all of them are either crooked or broken? One just has to walk.” ― Ishmael Beah, Radiance of Tomorrow

@jimmyjoe1488 I'm not disagreeing with you.

@Chillydall02 I agree. I suggest that all we ever have, are "concepts" of reality. I relate to the following, from the book ... The Final Inequality, by L. J. Ludovici. "Morals at any given moment have always been as good, or as bad, as our imaginations credit them, for the morals (from the Latin, mores: customs) means simply customs, and they keep changing all the time in all the corners of the world."

@thetrophysystem3697 How could you believe it sounds wise, if you also believe it is stupid? lol

@yahrite1458 Everything we think, is made up crap to somebody who disagrees.

@thetrophysystem3697 The poems I wrote at any time in my life, fit my systems of belief at those times in my life.

I suggest that we have two choices. We can either believe that the universe was created by an entity that designed suffering as part of its plan ... or, we can believe (as did Stephen Hawking,

@TheAlexratiu There is no way that you can prove that his story was based on truth either. He might have been stringing you along.
1
Helga Gretten How can you be certain that you are not hallucinating?
1
@WsprWndrr Religious hallucinations are all geared by what people are taught before they have the hallucinations. For instance, a Catholic nun will think she sees other nuns and Jesus, while a Hindu might believe she sees Krishna, and a Buddhist might think he sees Buddha. It's much the same as looking in a mirror and seeing one's own reflection.

@pound4p Myths are all gibberish, when believed as being based on literal truth.
1
Lewis Bey We can imagine anything to be real, whether or not it is real. Imagination, is a driving force.
1
@yahrite1458 If we were raised by non-human animals, such as dogs, with no human input whatsoever, what do you think we would imagine as being our "reality?"

@yahrite1458 My favorite quotes … “If you’re not confused, you’re not paying attention.” Tom Peters “Who can ever know what path to walk on when all of them are either crooked or broken? One just has to walk.” ― Ishmael Beah, Radiance of Tomorrow

@manz7860 What about bleeding heart conservatives? lol My favorite quotes … “If you’re not confused, you’re not paying attention.” Tom Peters “Who can ever know what path to walk on when all of them are either crooked or broken? One just has to walk.” ― Ishmael Beah, Radiance of Tomorrow

@yahrite1458 Do you believe that your thoughts are straight?
1
@yahrite1458 If you think that saying "I don't know," is a good idea, then that should be the end of your opinions.

Lewis Bey OH!

@yahrite1458 What about man-created quotes about religion. Are you up for that?
1
@myword787 It was not my quote. Don't you think that Anil Seth's quote is "cool?"
