  1. From my perspective, we have two choices. We can either believe that the universe was created by an entity that designed suffering as part of its plan ... or, we can believe (as did Stephen Hawking, before he died) that the universe always existed, and will always exist ... no plan involved. I prefer the second choice.

  3.  @bigsavv2663  If you were an all powerful god ... would suffering in all forms of life exist, and if you allowed suffering to exist, would you then also expect those who suffer from your experiment to worship you? Non-human animals didn't do anything to offend this supposed judge-"mental" manipulator by "sinning" ... so why do they have to suffer? Having been under the "spell" of religion for 70 years, I understand that it is difficult to break that spell ... but you can do it, if you are "willing to try."
