How frustrating and depressing, for women to be told that their only purpose for life is looking after children, and being good homemakers for their husbands, who are the Lords and Masters of their homes, and who own their wives as being their own property! Good GRIEF! Those ridiculous stories all stemmed from religion.

  2.  @didafm  Being a scribe, was a career. It was religious scribes that wrote in their books that they labeled as being holy, that according to "God ALL MIGHTY" women were the property of men, and must be subservient "to" the men. Scribes were paid big money to write about messages that the gods were giving to them, so of course, for each individual scribe to keep writing, was the greatest of temptations. Those many conflicting stories, is why, rather than uniting devotees, the stories divide devotees into right-fighting groups.
