Masks have never helped covid infection rates. If they did then Scotchland and Wales would have been lower than England rates, but they weren't, they were worse. There isn't any evidence to show that masks work in a real world situation. If they worked we would be required to wear a conforming, medical grade mask, not just a face covering which can be anything and doesn't have to meet any standards.
