  1. European cars are 12% of European CO2. Europe produces 9% of global emissions. This means around 1% of global emissions come from cars in Europe. Even if you replaced every car in Europe with an electric car, and drove them long enough for them to break even, AT BEST you'd save the earth about 0.5% of global co2 output in roughly 5 years. Therefore, why bother?
