  1.  @JohnDoe-qz3qi  No it isn't. The debt belongs to the UK and Scotland would be due their share of that debt following any dissolution of the UK with an independent Scotchland. Scotchland also have a balance of payments deficit well in excess of the level deemed acceptable by the EU. They have no credit rating and no substantial borrowing capability and also only have HALF the % of 40% tax payers as the rest of the UK, so the Scotch exchequer would be bare.
