@benjaminsmith2287 Polestar isn't part of Volvo anymore. They sold their interest. They're both part of Geely.

@brendonoleary519 I had a top of the range PS2, it was cheaply put together, poor quality plastics low down, insufficient sound insulation and second rate seats for something using the Volvo parts bin. The pain was also very soft. It was like an American car, quality suffering at the cost of trying to keep costs down. The 3 and 4 look like an improvement.

@brendonoleary519 They're cool cars and great fun, but don't be fooled they're a quality, premium product. I'd equate them to a mid range BMW 3 Series, rather underwhelming.

Then buy a Polestar 2 or 4

@benjaminsmith2287 That doesn't negate my point. Volvo disposed of their interest in Polestar. By the way I've had three recent Volvo (V60, XC60 and XC90) and a Polestar 2 when I lived in Norway . Polestar are sold via Polestar online or via Polestar Spaces, not in Volvo dealerships in UK but there is an agreement to service Polestar in Volvo dealerships because Polestar doesn't have service centres. All UK Polestar are registered in Oxfordshire and delivered to the customer from a centre there.

@jasoncaine2600 In what countries are they being sold at Volvo dealers? As far as I know Polestars are DELIVERED by Polestar, I bought mine over their website and I've never seen a brand new Polestar for sale in a UK Volvo dealer and there is nothing online about them doing this. Also, its Geely, not Gleely.

@brendonoleary519 The P2 suffers from cheap materials. I would go for a P4

@brendonoleary519 I wouldn't buy an EV that wasn't new or very new, battery degradation is a real concern.

@brendonoleary519 I might be, bit I've had a Polestar, and as fun as it was, it wasn't a quality product.

@ligametis I was being a bit pedantic, but it's like saying that Lotus and Polestar are the same as they're both owned by Geely and both electric. There's certainly similarities, but also a lot of difference. I've owned Polestar and Volvo. Volvo are still largely not Electric.

@ligametis The parts bin is used across Geely products just as parts were used when Volvo was owned by Ford. As for design, a don't see much of a resemblance. For example the 2,3 and 4 don't look like anything Volvo makes.
