You pay 45% if you earn over 125k. That's a lot and indeed enough. You have NI on top of that.
2
@ab-ym3bf How were we trustworthy before, but not now? Petulant, bitter, pathetic EU.
2
Why would you ever tax @75%?

@TootlinGeoff How do you know? You're just surmising on behalf of your own bias. We constantly hear how much very rich people pay or have paid in tax. You just ignore it. You ought to realise that the top 10% of UK earners (those above 60k) pay 60% of UK income tax collected. They already disproportionately pay MORE THAN ENOUGH. It's also worth bearing in mind that if you don't earn 40k, you aren't earning enough to cover your state pension. So if anything, be grateful for those wealthier than you, because without them, the UK would be more fucked than it already is. Also, being a millionaire doesn't mean you are actually earning anything. If I've got 50m in the bank, I've already paid tax on that from whence I earned it, I'm not due any more just because it's in my bank account..

Whatever Britain does, it's fucked. Labour or Tories.

Right wing media? Like The Guardian, BBC, Sky, Channel 4, Mirror etc?
1
Ha ha ha. like what? Guardian, BBC, Channel 4, Mirror and Sky news are all LEFT wing.

I wish all these people would stop blaming Brexit. We have global inflation, a global cost of living crisis and many other things like Ukraine, post covid affects which are having a far greater effect on all countries
1
@roisinmalone3015 0.5% of all European trade goes through Northern Ireland, yet 20% of checks take place here. That's a punishment for Brexit and infantile of the EU.
1
@roisinmalone3015 I voted remain actually, I'm just not so naive to think all of our current issues are down to Brexit. Grow up and look at the geopolitics and post covid economy issues which are causing global issues. Things are not much worse in the UK, many countries for example have higher inflation, more expensive fuel, higher electricity and gas etc.
1
@roisinmalone3015 The point is it's disproportional. What is the sense in having 20% of eu border checks for 0.5% of exports Article 16 of the agreement means the agreement can be changed.
1
@roisinmalone3015 I didn't day there was, the EU is currently being petulant and infantile on this matter.

How's EU doing for growth in Europe right now?
1
Green growth 😂😂😂

The UK has been the sick man of Europe for decades, nothing to do with Brexit.
