  6.  @michelleford5108  Were any Royals on the flight? No. No one is required to be respectful or pay deference. They might not even be British, might be Republicans or simply don't care. I'd rather someone was honest than feigned sympathy.

  8.  @faisalmemon285  There is no such thing as Welch or Scott's. Please do some research. We are all all British in the UK but some people like to claim they are primarily English, WELSH or Scottish (or Northern Irish)

  9.  @faisalmemon285  You have anecdotal evidence from ONE person professing to speak for EVERYONE in Scotland. If I asked you, would your view be representative of everyone in whatever country you are from? Let's look at this from a different perspective. We had an independence referendum in Scotland and 55% of people who voted voted AGAINST it. This clearly demonstrates that nowhere near "everyone" considers themselves Scottish rather than British.

I'm fine that she said it, but why did y ou believe it? I'm simply pointing out that one Scottish girl's view isn't representative of the entire country she claims to be speaking for. Keeping the pound was NOT the reason for voting to remain as part of the 1707 Union Secondly, abdicating refers to a monarch leaving the throne, not a country declaring Independence. Also, it is SCOT, not SCOTT, Everyone born in the UK and NI is BRITISH whether they like it or not. We don't compete in football as Britain because we have had separate geographic Football Associations since the 19th Century. The MAJORITY of Scots see themselves as British, the MINORITY don't. Not calling yourself Scottish and instead identifying as British, doesn't mean you hate Scot's, or hate the Scottish. Perhaps do a bit of research before taking an ignorant gir view with no life experience on the matter

  11.  @faisalmemon285  You could say that about Texans, but I wouldn't take your word as being reliable, just as I wouldn't believe a silly little girl and what she said about Scotland. I'm not having a go, but it seems you don't really understand the make up of what Britain or Britishness is. If I meet an American and I ask where they come from, they will probably initially say New York, California, Texas, New England or something like that, but they still also consider themselves American , that is the same for MOST Welsh, English, Scottish and Northern Irish ALSO considering themselves British in addition to which country in the UK they live, but it doesn't change the fact they are also British. I hope that has cleared things up for you. Yes, there are a minority of Welsh or Scottish who DONT consider themselves British, but it is a minority regardless of what your Scottish girl claims.
