  10. Actually they can pay up to 65%, plus i notice you don't mention the years they have made fuck all. Besides profit from oil and gas by companies is MINIMAL in the UK Oil and Gas profits in UK only bring in around 1billion in tax over last few years, per year. These companies are making profit in other countries which we CANNOT tax them for. The North Sea is some of the most expensive to produce so profits are minimal. It's temperature, pressure, field size, geologically challenged and an over mature basin. Try doing some research. BP and Shell aren't even big players in UK Continental Shelf

  11.  @theunknown1426  In 2020 during covid BP and Shell made losses of BILLIONS. It's been well documented. Just because someone disagreed with your uninformed opinions doesn't make them a Tory. Shell and other companies pay billions in tax in the countries they operate in and where they make profit. No company pays any tax if they don't make a profit. Let's say Shell makes 500m from a field it operates, if they make 1 billion loss in other projects, there is no tax due.
