You've still missed the salient point though, that being that even if it was of the correct time, ypu haven't proven it came from Jesus, or that Jesus was divine, performed miracles or was resurrected. All you'd have is that you have a shroud of a nameless, dead, ordinary man. Given that no one wrote about jesus during his entire life and no one who even met him even bothered to write about him you don't even know if he had a shroud. Why do you believe something to be genuine that even the Vatican accepts is a hoax?

There isn't a SINGLE scientific, peer reviewed paper which proves it is genuine, and even if it was of the correct time period it wouldn't show WHO it belonged to would it? It has been dated to 1100ad by three different scientific institutions. Given that not a single word was written about jesus until 40 years after his death, and that was by no one who even met him, you don't even know if Jesus had a shroud. Furthermore there is no evidence of Jesus being anything more than an ordinary man. There is zero evidence of divinity, resurrection or miracles.

AND you can't prove WHO it belonged to, what makes you think it has any credibility? It's just a medieval shroud who you don't know who it belonged to. You know NO ONE wrote about jesus during his life so you don't even know if he had a shroud.

You don't for example believe that a follower of another religion that you don't follow is true, yet you both have zero evidence to support either of your beliefs, so how did you determine theirs are all wrong and you are right, or don't you care? For some reason these days YouTube deletes comments for some people and not for others. I haven't made any claims in regards to my own beliefs. I have simply stated there is no evidence to support YOUR belief, and as you haven't presented any, that still stands. Why is being indoctrinated to believe a religion a good thing? As a Christian, if you lived in Iran, you'd be indoctrinated to believe Islam, presumably you think Christianity is true, so do you approve of Islam indoctrination? You seem to think it's fine to be indoctrinated as a Christian, so why not a Muslim? Being indoctrinated to believe ANYTHING that has no evidence to support it (like religion) is not a good thing. How can you think it is? Children are indoctrinated to believe in Santa Claus, but they grow out of it, why haven't you? You haven't justified your belief and you just believe it because you like it, you don't even care if it is true, of you did, you'd require evidence of it. Our arguments are NOT two sides of the same coin. I require evidence to justify holding a belief, you hold a belief because you've been indoctrinated to believe it. The two are not equivalent.

The New Testament was written AFTER the supposed life of Jesus and ISNT EVIDENCE, it's a CLAIM. I have NEVER claimed there wasn't a man called Jesus, I said there was NO CONTEMPORARY evidence he existed, and there isn't, so at best all you have is there might have been an ordinary man called Jesus, but you HAVE NOTHING which is evidence of divinity, resurrection or miracles. Try reading before you write instead of jumping to defence of your imaginary deity. Why did no one who ever met Jesus bother to write about him? If je was so amazing and so special, why wouldn't you write about him?

So what if Jesus was real, all that says is that Jesus was an ORDINARY MAN, and there is NOTHING remarkable about that. I stated clearly and equivocally that there is no contemporary evidence of Jesus. existing, and there isn't and no evidence whatsoever of miracles, divinity and resurrection and therefore by that standard, his myth relates to him being a Jewish sky zombie because NOTHING substantiates the claim he was anything BUT a normal man. Believing things for bad reasons, faith is not the equivalent of believing things that are supported with evidence.

Religions HAVEN'T met their burden of proof and as such no adherant can justify believing. Abraham Lincoln existed, doesn't mean Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter was a true story. There is NOTHING which substantiates Jesus being ANYTHING than a normal man who had certain absurdly far fetched stories attributed to him which were never supported by any evidence
