  2.  @johntate5050  Incorrect. Im a Brit living in Norway and we cope far better with bad weather than the UK does. Oslo is -20+ at the moment with a metre of snow at the airport and planes still fly. One inch of snow cripples the UK road network and air travel. Nordic countries and the likes of France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy etc don't fall apart either.

  3.  @johntate5050  Ha ha. I used to live in France and it was fine. I couldn't care less about Ireland, I said MOST countries are better at dealing with weather than the UK, and they ARE Scotland gets a lot of bad weather and it is TERRIBLE at dealing with it. Winter tyres really should be mandatory in Scotland.

  4.  @johntate5050  If you'd bothered to read my post instead of replying so indignantly before you'd finished you'd have noticed I mentioned France, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland too. They aren't Scandinavian . Again, why does Scotland suffer so much from the slightest bad weather. Shouldn't they be used to it, after all bad weather isn't unusual.

  5. ​​ @EattheRich-re7kv Winter tyres are better than all year tyres when the temperature drops to 6c and below. It isn't just about snow, it's about how your tyre behaves in colder weather. I'm a Brit in Norway, and when you buy a car here, you get two sets of wheels, one set has summer tyres other winter tyres. Takes no time to change over.
