  1. We need to build more refineries. We export 32bn of oil, but we import 50bn because of a lack of refining capacity. If you import it, your costs are naturally higher than if you refine in UK.

  2.  @HENRYGCOLLINS  What is? If you are paying for oil and gas to be transported to this country naturally the unit cost is going to be higher. If we used and refined more of our own oil, it would be cheaper by the cost or import and refining abroad. It still wouldn't be cheap because of the high tax % the government takes but you would probably be reducing costs by 10-15% based on savings from not importing.
