  2. No, of course we don't need a monarchy anymore which is why the ones we have in Europe are largely symbolic and actually do nothing.

  3.  @Jarsia  They don't. Monarchies in Britain, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden are effectively symbolic countries. All these monarchs do is pomp and ceremony and don't make any decisions which affect the way we live our lives.

  7.  @therealgrimreaper68  No they aren't. Had Andrew not paid off that woman he could have faced a criminal trial. Princess Anne has been done for speeding AND charged over a dog attack, so they are not immune from the law.
