Cry me a river. I grew up in Scotland in a house with no central heating, a solitary coal fire and single glazing which would freeze from the inside.

Thank fuck i have a new job in a new country. UK is in the shitter

Tin foil hat.

First of all, we don't vote for a PM, we ONLY vote for a constituency MP. Secondly Churchill wasn't elected, so by your rationale we shouldn't have had Churchill either. 😂😂😂😂😂
6
@jackburgess8579 I didn't say either myself or my parents were unhappy. It's just how it was for almost everyone back then because central heating wasnt a domestic norm. We have become very soft indeed, and if you can't afford to turn the heating on these days, then you probably aren't very good at organising your finances or habe chosen an especially poorly insulated home.
6
Without oil there is no plastic, without plastic we don't have anything. You cannot have electricity without plastic insulation.
5
@TheRealPureBlood I've got one of those electric throws, they're awesome. Barely had my heating on either.
3
@TheRealPureBlood People just can't think laterally.
3
@grahambooker8383 What evidence have you that it is a conspiracy and not just markets? Fuck all, that's what. The funniest thing is that Andrew is a "comedian" yet you're all reacting as if what he is saying is factual.
3
The NHS and BBC also need to stop spunking our money.
3
@Intimid No. Are you pretending this is some sort of planned action?
2
@sammyd7857 Where do you think the money comes from?
2
It's also incredibly childish and naive to blame this all on the government. You do realise inflation is HIGHER in other European countries? Grow up
2
Abbot blamed the Tories for an illegal immigrant r**ing a child . Vile human being
2
@MeMe-pb9vh Ha ha ha. Chemtrails? You lunatic
2
There is NEVER an excuse to fly tip.
2
How many hospitals? About 1
1
You are joking aren't you? The BBC is the mouthpiece of the left
1
@Tony11806 It hasn't "come to an end" You just need to think differently. There are a number of different ways to keep warm, but you're only looking at heating your house.
1
@Tony11806 No it hasn't come to an end, it's just currently higher than it has been in recent times due to the result of covid policy, Ukraine War etc.
1
@Tony11806 How do you know? Energy prices go up and down all the time. There is no reason to think they won't go back down. If supply increases, prices go down.
1
@steveath 😀😀
1
@Tony11806 You don't know that at all. You're just surmising on zero evidence.
1
Fucking hate Christmas
1
@paulcrisp9861 It's a conspiracy when done wanker pretends it's a direct WEF policy
1
@saraa6040 It's not an insult, it's what you loons are wearing. The world goes in peaks and troughs economically. We are in another downturn. It will get better but if you pretend it's being done on purpose, you're just an idiot.
1
@nbandpinportugal Ah, they're all against us. The lizard people. Grow up
1
@martynflynn8368 Where di you learn it's a conspiracy?
1
@martynflynn8368 Oh piss off. No doubt you probably believe in chemtrails and 9/11 being an inside job too.
1
@leonskum.5682 Can you prove it? No
1
@Lunchladydoyle What a pathetic insult.
1
@angelicasims4511 You can eat incredibly cheaply, it's just that most people are too lazy and too stupid to do it
1
@mr90s48 Interest rates went as high as 17-18% in the 70's
1
@sammyd7857 nodody says it isn't a loan
1
@mr90s48 Exactly, this really is the bottom of the internet where morons live and believe that people are being controlled by shadowy organisations. We are all capitalist, we live in a capitalist system and this affects the economy in ways we might not always like. Why can't they accept this? I don't see them moaning when things are good.
1
@mikeicee Do you realise property tax has nothing to do with your property? It's used to pay for things like rubbish collection, drainage, street lighting, road sweepers, deicing roads etc.
1
@NickolasNothing Nicholas, you're a conspiracy idiot AND a Bible thumper. Could you be any more deluded?
1
@sammyd7857 A mortgage IS a type of loan. In what way isn't it a loan? When you get a mortgage you BORROW money from the bank, whom you pay back with tje additional interest. That's the definition of a loan.
1
@angelicasims4511 The point he was making was that people don't know how to cook anymore. His expenses now are irrelevant. I earn a lot of money, but I know how to eat cheaply. Fresh veg is cheap, processed foods are more expensive and full of shit.
1
@angelicasims4511 If you're on £70 quid a week that's very tough indeed, but everything is tough then. I didn't say I could cook a meal for 10p
1
@angelicasims4511 I didn't say a fucking thing about how much it cost. I said I support him when he says that people are wasteful by not knowing how to cook properly. Cooking fresh is cheaper and better for you than buying shit like pizza or lasagne , but yes I could probably cook a couple of days soup for about 75p. This country is full of utter morons who will not take it upon themselves to help themselves out. Of course he doesn't think food banks should exist, who does? No one. He isn't saying that they should be taken away because they aren't required he's saying it's a disgrace they need to have them. Actually try reading something OTHER than The Guardian or BBC. I heard him say as much IN INTERVIEW.
1
@markb3915 ha ha ha ha. Brilliant
1
No one has said anything about conscription for fuck sake.
1
Talk TV is better anyway
1
@evolassunglasses4673 and GBNews is not Tory? Talk TV is more Reform anyway.
1
It's not about jokes, or free speech it's about unprofessionalism and not inciting people to break the law and how that reflects on a broadcast station. Why can't people get that through their thick heads?
1
What's the problem? You can support who you want? Not sure why this is even a story for you. Labour in celebrity supporters shocker. Whatever next?
1
I abhor litter dropping. I have thrown litter back into people's parked cars from whence it was discarded many times. Thank goodness I'm leaving this shit country.
1
No it isn't. Christianity is a MINORITY in the UK. Why would anyone want to follow ANY religion. They're embarrassingly stupid.
1
Who is Drayton?
1
More tin foil hat conspiracy theories. You do realise that owning a house is a risk and that interest rates go up and down. You aren't entitled to low interest rates, you take a gamble on future value and rates.
1
@christee9590 Ha ha crackpot
1
@CyrilSneer123 You sound like a deluded Christian. You have no evidence for any of this nonsense. It is conspiracy crap
1
@ME4503 That doesn't even happen, the frog jumps out.
1
@SteveeCee That is a claim you have absolutely zero evidence of. In what way are we a police state or even close to it?
1
@SteveeCee Hardly a police state. Why don't you go and read about East Germany. Digital covid passports never happened anyway. What are you on about?
1
@SteveeCee Did you even read that link? It doesn't even so much as mention the UL
1
@chatteyj You can't judge others earnings by your standard and your salary. Perhaps you didn't try hard enough.
1
@chatteyj People are worth what people are prepared to pay for it. I don't like him, but he does something most others can't. You need to stop seeing others worth through your own narrow, bitter lens
1
@chatteyj I already said I didn't think he was worth it, but I clearly said that he was worth what someone was wanting to pay. Just as you get paid what your worth is.
1
@chatteyj Your and mine opinion on what he gets paid is irrelevant. I might be of the opinion YOU get paid more than you deserve. Does that make me right? How do you know what his market value should be? Are you a showbiz agent?
1
@chatteyj I do understand free market, it's you who seem to think that free market should reflect what YOU think Hislop is worth.
1
It was a four year investigation. Hardly a small matter Brand truthworthy?😂😂😂😂😂😂
1
@smallfeet4581 Renting? You mean throwing away thpusands of pounds. You buy a house, you have a sellable asset.
1
@smallfeet4581 Jesus Christ, are you that stupid? Most people DOWNSIZE when they get older allowing a release of money. Why pay hundreds of thousands over your life to live on something someone else owns? Or an asset to help your children when you die.
1
RestWithin No you won't. When have house prices EVER gone down in the long term, and even if they did a 30 reduction in value still means you have alot more money in an asset than you have if you rent a place your entire life. You'd still be paying rent as a pensioner for fuck sake. Who wants that?
1
@smallfeet4581 No you don't. You are PAYING IT OFF. If you pay 10 years of a 20 year mortgage you've paid off half the value of the mortgage (dependent on interest rate). Are you actually thick? If you rent a place for 10 years you've built up fuck all and you leave with nothing At least owning a property you reduce the mortgage and increase you equity. Renting long term is a mugs game If you sell a house at any point in the mortgage period the bank doesn't own all the mortgage, they are only due what hasn't already been paid.
1
RestWithin Swear, oh diddums, you upset by a word?
1
@smallfeet4581 It's a low risk gamble, but it is infinitely better than fucking renting when you are guaranteed to have fuck all.
1
@smallfeet4581 Losing your home doesn't make you any worse than leaving a rented property so why rent long term? It's retarded
1
@huudielbo728 What a moronic idea. Owning property comes with a risk, bit owning a property is far better than renting. You want to rent until you die? Best way to be poor. You can't save money if you're spending it on rent.
1
@huudielbo728 And however you look at it putting money into a property is better than not.
1
Sleeping with people isn't immoral. Just because you can't get your leg over.
