  1.  @schwags1969  The majority of Europeans absolutely don't go Heli skiing. Hardly any ever ever done this. I did it once and it cost me about €800 for an afternoon.

  3.  @Mordalo  I was appalled how dated the US was in regards to ski resorts . It was so far behind it was actually funny. Fortunately I bought a season pass, but if I'd been buying on a daily basis I would have been truly disgusted. $180 a day for a tiny resort with ancient lifts? Why do Americans tolerate that?

  7. American ski resorts are run seriously badly. Not must Vail. The ancient infrastructure and ticket price would not be tolerated elsewhere.

  8. It wouldn't be so bad if the money was invested but US infrastructure is from the 1960's and 1970's. European resorts actually invest and expand. Their lifts are more efficient, more comfortable, more weather resistant and crucially considerably cheaper to buy a ticket for. I can get a week in Austria, France or Switzerland for the cost of 2 days in the USA, and the resorts are 10x bigger.
