  13.  thought giver  I don't believe in any god. If there isn't an explanation for something then I say "we don't know yet" I don't pretend a god did it because we simply don't know. Even if a god does exist, and there's no proof there is, you can only be a deist. There is no mechanism to get to any particular religion or denomination, especially not one as immoral and transparently false as Christianity. We cannot possibly know everything, and when we don't know something we should admit it, not engage in tje "God of the gaps" fallacy like you have done. What's wrong with saying "I don't know yet"?

You could also ask "if there was nothing, what did your god make the universe out of if something can't come from nothing" You can't have it both ways. There must be an explanation as to how we got here, but you are making a presupposition when you claim that a god did it when you have absolutely no clue whatsoever. For example, how did you determine that it wasn't a "universe creating pixie" instead of a god?

It isn't useful as "timeless advice" if you don't need to read it to discover it. Anyone who has ever ver read the bible already knew this, so it's not even advice, it's simply superfluous information. It's like stating the eternal question "do bears shit in the woods". It's information that is worthless to anyone who reads it.

So why would anyone follow it? I'm happy to bash EVERY religion, Christianity just happens to be the one in favour here. I'll bash Islam if you want as that is every bit as disgusting as Christianity. By the way, the countries which are least religious in the developed world are the MOST HAPPY. Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden,Denmark etc are the happiest people in the world. There is no evidence they are single and miserable.
