@BalboaBaggins In what way? If you eat meat from Britain, or grass fed beef, free range chickens, North sea fish, what's that got to do with rain forests? What about vegans having rainforests cleared to grow soya or palm oil for their ultra processed foods? Seriously, don't be do naive and blinkered.

Grow up. It's survived 4bn years.

You don't see the irony do you? You're a consumer, a capitalist and a contributor. If you cared you wouldn't be on the internet.

Humanity is at zero risk of extinction from climate change

Why does the BBC catastrophise absolutely everything?
1
You went to the Amazon and didn't see any animals? Liar.
1
@Lurkingstill You didn't look very hard then.
1
@Lurkingstill The fact you claim to see few animals shows you either are severely unobservant or only visited a very tiny area for a very short time. The Amazon is absolutely loaded with life.
1
@Lurkingstill The Amazon is absolutely massive, to say there is no life there is just preposterous. What you mean is that in the very small area you went to, for a very short period of time you didn't see as much life as you thought you might.

@@Brisha_Rox_It You didn't get the context did you? I was referring to the OP's over the top concern that the world might end.
1
@@Brisha_Rox_It You're missing the point. I was saying "grow up" in response to the ludicrous worry from the original poster that was questioning whether the earth would survive. Of course it will survive. It's a truly ridiculous concern to have, hence "grow up" and stop posing such preposterous concerns.

@@Brisha_Rox_It What are you on about? That is apropos of nothing. The point is that the planet is not at risk in the slightest. Human existence is not even the blink of an eye in the history of the earth . Stop worrying about the future of the planet, it will be fine as it always has been. Now if you want to talk about the issues relating to overpopulation and the impact that might have on human development, society, demographics, resources, pollution etc, that's a completely different matter.

@@Brisha_Rox_It You're incapable of understanding a point or having any reading comprehension. Go away in a huff if you like. The question was "will the earth survive" the answer is absolutely it will and so will humanity. There is zero probability of human extinction due to climate change.

@@Brisha_Rox_It Yes, wasting your time on something you clearly haven't understood.
