What massive natural resources? You do realise that there is very little money in renewables right and that Scotland has no state owned renewable companies right? How do you expect Scotland to become rich on the taxation of wind companies like SSE, Equinor, Vattenfall, Orsted etc? The cost of setting up these farms is absolutely massive, so it will be years before anyone is paying any tax on them. Scotland also has HALF the % of 40% tax payers as the rest of the UK and we have a far less healthy population with lower life expectancy. 25% of UK income comes from London. Where would we make that deficit for and how on earth would we get the money to pay our budget deficit and debt from which would enable us to rejoin the EU? The SNP cynically play on the inherent anti English bias of many Scots and just like Brexit, most people don't know what they'd like to change about being in the UK to be independent. Furthermore Herr Sturgeon handling of coronavirus has been every bit as bad as the rest of the UK, and in terms of care homes has been considerably worse.

@Bush Bushie I didn't mention Museums or Scottish finances at all. You have confused me with someone else. Please read the thread again, there are only a small number of posts. How could you confuse me with a post about museums. I was talking about renewables and why they aren't going to make us wealthy.
