  2.  @NO3V  No, im just saying the Polestar is mlre Premium in terms of looks, build quality and materials. The Tesla is advanced, bit its typically a boring design because it comes from America. It costs £40-50,000 but looks like its worth about half that.

  5.  @ivankuzin8388  It hardly ever snows in UK, and having had both front and rear wheel drive cars it doesnt really matter that much. Im sick of people thinking theybare sone sort of Finnish rally driver, youre just driving for work

  7.  @g0balot  Depends on the car, id rather have my current car than a lot of the EVs and Id rather have a lot of other EVs than my current car. For example, youre surely not saying you wluld take a Zoe over a 5 series?

Ugly would actually be better than boring Most people with EVs drive at such low average speeds where aerodynamics have very little difference. Tesla range efficiency come mkre from it being considerably lighter

  14.  @g0balot  First of all it isnt injque to EVs that you can preheat the cabin. I can do it on my Volvo with an app and so can dozens of others like BMW, Audi, Jaguar etc. Furthermore, no one has had to check the oil with a dipstick for about 20 years so thats not an issue either. Modern gearboxes are pretty seamless unless you get a wretched CVT I like EVs too, but those arent really legitimate reasons as far as I can tell. The acceleration is fun, but i wouldnt fancy watching the battery drain in front of my eyes driving like a lunatic or towing something heavy. Its a bit creepy waiting for someone in a car park isnt it? Yes, ill get one, but on my terms. I think I have one ICE left in me.

Im saying it doesnt matter in the UK as you should have winter tyres, drive appropriately for the conditions and if the roads are bad, why go out? 99.9999% of the time British roads are fine. I live in Scotland and even here winters are fine. We arent in the Alps or Northern Scandinavia, we live in a temperate maritime climate and conditions are fine virtually the entire year.

  20.  @g0balot  No it doesnt. My car doesnt start doesnt start the engine to sort climate out, but even if it did, so what? An ice doesnt have to preheat any batteries with a heat pump to mitigate against massive range loss. Sounds like there was a problem with your S. Oil shouldn't drop at all to any noticeable level

  21.  @g0balot  30 minutes is plenty, you after some sort of Turkish bath or Sauna? YOUR car whilst you weirdly wait in the car park at - 15c for some reason is using a heat pump unkess you want to drain the battery , i didnt claim an ICE car was, it doesnt need to. Hvor i Norge er du? You dont think 25-30% loss is bad? 😂 😂 😂 Thats terrible loss. If an ICE car lost 30% MPG when it got cold it would be unacceptable.

  22.  @g0balot  30 % loss is both laughable and unacceptable. Imagine a Petrol car losing that much. In summer I get 40mpg, in winter I get 37.5. Barely noticeable and i have all the pre heating options, heated seats, steering wheel, windscreen etc too. Yes, ive been to Norway, i have worked in Stavanger. Norway is better set up for EVs than other European countries, hence why its better for you.

  23.  @douglasb.5601  If you really want to save the planet, juat forget about cars in general. In Europe co2 from cars only amount to 1% of global co2, so even switching to electric will only save about 0.5%. Fucking nothing

  25.  @g0balot  Im sure i will love it. I just dont really want any of the current crop or they are currently too expensive. Id have a Polestar, but could do more woth a V90 Estate type of car.
