I ought to respect people's right to believe what they want, HOWEVER, I don't have to respect the content of that belief and I don't have to show it special consideration or special treatment. The beliefs of individuals are indistinguishable from fairy tales and do not command respect, they are by definition ridiculous and ought to be treated as such. If you are offended by something, that's your problem.

@friedr2766 Definition for what? That religions don't have credibility? If something doesn't have evidence to support it, then it's indistinguishable from fiction, so why would I give respect or deference to something exactly the same as something fictional? Do you respect alchemists or astrologists? I hope not
