I used to quite like these cars but I've really learned to dislike the impracticality of saloon cars these days. I just don't see why anyone would want one anymore. I can just about see a case for an S Class, A8, XJ or 7 series, but this CLS sector usually has an estate version which is always better looking, and that was certainly the case for the Shooting brake version of this car just as it is for the 5 series, A6, XF, E Class etc One think I absolutely hate is the Mercedes gear selector being on the steering column like an ancient American car, its just not civilised and the location of the parking brake is archaic.
