@emiliospowerballer1441 You dont own anything on PCP unless you pay the balloon payment at the end. PCP only covers half the cost of the car. You may be thinking about HP

@barbarusbloodshed6347 If you've got 50k in your bank account it's stupid to buy a car outright. The reason is you're the type of person who will only hold a car for three years. If you can't afford to buy outright then finance is no different than taking out a loan, which is the other way, but that generally gets you an older or less reliable car, so whether you're loaning or financing it you still have a monthly outgoing. At least with financing you'll have a car which includes breakdown insurance and has a warranty. A car is almost never an asset, expect to lose money on it.

Mercs of this age had worst infotainment of all time. It just looked so cheap. That screen with a three inch wide border just looked terrible, in fact most of that screen is nasty plastic border. Why do any car makers scrimp on such an important part. For an extra 100 quid you could really do it well. The new Jaguar XF and F Pace have finally got it right but this is just terrible in what else is quite a decent looking small hatchback.

What an odd statement. No one genuinely buys a new or newish car with cash unless they're seriously loaded. Whether it's HP, PCP or a bank loan the vast majority of cars, new and second hand are bought with some sort of financial assistance. On the plus side it gets rid of most of the terrible old cars on the road.
