 @ChuckLo-p3o What about USA owning Hawaii, Guam, Midway Islands, Puerto Rico US Virgin Islands, China with Macau, Australia with Christmas Island, New Zealand with Cook Islands etc.

@maximilianonah Incorrect, Argentina merely had a settlement there, not a formal ownership. What claim do Argentina have to them? Argentina is further away from the Falklands than the UK is from the Faroes. What do you mean had them until 1833? From when? Argentina only began to exist in 1817 and didn't put a settlement on Falklands until 1829. France, Spain and Britain alternated ownership prior to that. Argentina only have had a settlement for two periods totalling just three years. Hardly the best history for a claim on an island.
