There's no need. The ONLY reason to buy a Duster is because they are very cheap, but the US already has very affordable cars. Your cars are significantly cheaper than the cars we get in the UK/Eur

@vipermoon_ im talking about the retail cost of ALL your cars. You can loads of brand new cars in the US incredibly cheaply, you can't in rest of the world.

@mircea5013 and it has cheap as fuck petrol.

@mircea5013 Actually Americans get staggeringly low HP from very large engines. On an HP per litre basis, this is probably not too bad for power in a US context. The funny thing is that although the Dacia is cheap, it's build quality is probably still better than many US cars. US quality comes about 3rd or 4th to other factors.

@mircea5013 Have you ever driven cars in America before? Doesn't sound like it. They have loads of cars which are just the same as we get in Europe. They don't import them all, just as we don't import most US cars, yes, you can get a lot of models with a V6 option, but in general your common cars you see in Europe like Golf, Focus, XC60 etc are the same in America. The 320d or 520d wouldn't be a joke power wise, it just wouldn't be imported because Americans don't need diesel because Petrol is so cheap so fuel efficiency isn't an issue. The Jetta is sold in America as a 158 hp car.

@mircea5013 Yes, that's fine. I said some models are different, but I gave the example of the Jetta, which is 156hp or whatever. The Ford Kuga for example is a 1.5 ecoboost, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda are all the same with low power models.

@mircea5013 BMW is a premium brand. I wouldn't expect a base model to be sold in America. The bottom line is there is a broad range of HP available in America. I agree they wouldn't buy a Dacia, I never said they would. My point was they already have plenty cheap, shit , badly made underpowered cars available for practically nothing, so Dacia wouldn't sell.

@mircea5013 BMW WOULD sell it if the US wanted it. The thing is that people will happily have CERTAIN models in the US at various low HP ratings, the demand for the BMW you mention isn't sufficient to merit a supply, but that doesn't mean that low horse power models of other cars aren't in demand. Of course it is premium in Europe, but BUYING a car and RUNNING a car is CONSIDERABLY more expensive in Europe than it is in the USA.
