Don't understand modifying cars. Almost always makes it look worse or perform worse.

@smilepermile8165 How would you know? Are you an automotive engineer with a better knowledge of vehicle dynamics than the people who designed, engineered and manufactured it? No

@smilepermile8165 I didn't say they wouldn't. I said that you claiming they make it better doesn't necessarily make it true. I asked if YOU knew better than the people who made the car, it is OBVIOUS that you don't, how could you possibly? If you bothered to read what I had written I said that MOST modifications result in making it look shit or making it perform worse. Stick to your Corsa.

@joetaka7620 Looks like you can't read and use comprehension.

@joetaka7620 He questioned how adding a lighter batter and lighter wheels would make it worse, I said that unless you are an automotive engineer WHO HAS a better understanding of the car than those who designed, engineered and built it he wasn't in a position to say. Keep up.

@smilepermile8165 You are still completely missing that I said "in the majority of cases" it makes it look worse and perform worse because the hand of chav which deals with the majority of modifications usually has absolutely no technical expertise in any sort of engineering. Changing suspension doesn't necessarily make it ride better at all. Lowering suspension for example in most cases makes it WORSE in terms of ride quality, because it is inherently stiffer with a shorter ride.

@joetaka7620 I asked if you knew better than the people who make it? Do you? Does reducing weight absolutely have a beneficial effect on the performance of the suspension for example? No. They are designed to have a certain weight and mass acting on them and react in a SPECIFIC way, change that and you change the dynamics MAYBE for the better, but it's complete GUESSWORK on the persons behalf doing the mod that it will make it better. Maybe it will make it better in some aspect, but it could just as easily make it worse in another, for example in terms of traction. Most of the time it is completely irrelevant anyway as "performance" is restricted by traffic laws, road conditions, other road users and common decency.

@joetaka7620 What if the cars weight distribution takes the battery weight into account? You didn't design the car so you don't know of it did or didnt. Again, ask yourself why they used that battery in the first place?
