Why would you pray if you aren't religious? Talk about a waste of time.

@ayoolukoga9829 There is no contemporary evidence of jesus existence and no evidence at all he wasn't just an ordinary man. You basically believe something which is akin to Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
3
@thiskiwigal Many people make wishes, throw money in fountains, cross fingers etc, but it makes absolutely zero difference.
2
@kobusyssel2840 There is absolutely zero evidence that Jesus was not just an ordinary man, no evidence exists anywhere of divinity, miracles or resurrection. If Jesus was so amazing, why couldn't anyone who met him he bothered to write about him?
2
@Void-uj7jd please explain how it is different when there is zero evidence a god exists and zero evidence prayer works.
2
@ayoolukoga9829 How is it "talking"? It's speaking in a one way direction, without reply to a deity that hasn't even been proven to exist, it's no better than closing your eyes and making a wish.
2
@kobusyssel2840 No one did write about him DURING HIS LIFE, no one who met him wrote about him either, everything written about him came a minimum of 40 years after he died. Again, no evidence exists of divinity, resurrection or miracles, so at an absolute best, all you have is an ordinary cult leader. What "thousands of documents"? Name one
1
@valmaxian4893 There is no evidence which is why the idea of a god is indistinguishable from a fairy tale. Believing without evidence is simply gullibility. Faith is worthless and since you can't even prove this hide and seek champion god exists, how do you know it wants you to believe in gullibility?
1
@valmaxian4893 People have died for all sorts of bad reasons and for lies. Don't you think Muslims, Catholics, Jews, Hindu, Sikh etc have all died for their beliefs? Doesn't make them true. You also realise that no one who key Jesus write about him and nothing about Jesus was written until her been dead 40 years. If he was so amazing, why wouldn't anyone bother writing about him. Imagine no one wrote about WW2 until 1985, that's the equivalent.
1
@valmaxian4893 Faith doesn't lead you to evidence. If a Muslim, Jew, Christian, Scientologist, Hindu etc all hold their beliefs based on faith, then faith is demonstrably useless. Faith is the excuse people give when they haven't got a good reason to believe. It is a synonym for gullibility. If you had a good reason to believe, you give that reason.
1
@ShadeszOfficial Imagine being so stupid you think prayer works.
1
@bezimenkostotebrigovic5149 Yes you can. There's no evidence of jesus being anything other than an ordinary man. Why would you pray or worship that?
1
@terryrobbins4224 What creator? Your idiot god sacrificed himself to himself for a bank holiday weekend knowing he could turn off pain and knowing he would be resurrected to stone for a mistake it made itself, so where's the sacrifice there?
1
@puddled1 It even bloody says so I'm the preface to the new testament. You don't actually think the Gospels were written by Matthew, Mark Luke, John etc. Biblical scholars agree that they are anonymous and no contemporary evidence exists that Jesus even existed and not a single piece of evidence exists anywhere at all that Jesus was anything other than an ordinary man. It is a story indistinguishable from a fairy tale.
1
@puddled1 I suggest you do, there is no evidence the gospels were written by the names of the gospels and there is no evidence jesus wasn't just an ordinary man. No evidence exists of miracles, divinity or resurrection. Grow up, it's a fairy tale.
1
@wallacechudy4870 Why would you pray when yu can throw 10p in a wishing well?
1
Prayer works about as well as throwing 10p in a wishing well.
1
@JTV84 What's a "Christian value"? Do you not realise how immoral Christianity is?
1
@dscat5908 Yes, it is losing ground, Christianity, thankfully is in MASSIVE decline, it's already a minority belief in much of Europe because it's so laughable and absurd to believe in a god.
1
Grow up you nutjobs
1
@PerfidiousPuffin it's nothing remotely like that. Grow up.
1
@kellysouter4381 and wherever you pray, your prayers have NEVER worked. Grow up. Religion and believing in god is ridiculous.
1
@mrsmum3-6 No you haven't. You've witnessed things that you don't have an explanation for, but that doesn't make it a miracle. It just means you can't explain it.
1
@mrsmum3-6 That isn't what a miracle is, because you haven't explained what CAUSED it. What you have done is use one of the weakest apologetics going which is called the "god of the gaps fallacy". Just because you can't explain something, doesn't make it a miracle. There has NEVER been a confirmed miracle, because there has NEVER been any evidence which even proves a god exists, far less one that performs miracles. Grow up, you believe a ridiculous, immoral fairy tale.
1
@mrsmum3-6 What you are doing is called the god of the gaps fallacy, and is one of the weakest apologetics going. Just because you can't explain something doesn't make it a miracle. You can't even prove a god exists, far less that it has ever done anything. You believe an immoral fairy tale which is no more credible than believing in Santa Claus.
1
@mrsmum3-6 That doesn't make it a miracle. That is the god of the gaps fallacy. Prove a god exists first.
1
@hughmarcus1 The universe ISN'T finely tuned. What makes you think it is?
1
@mrsmum3-6 I don't have to prove anything. You're the one claiming a miracle, prove a god did it. I haven't claimed there is a devil, that's as ridiculous as claiming a god exists.
1
@mrsmum3-6 Satan is no more likely than god, which means it isn't at all likely. God and Satan are indistinguishable from fairy tales.
1
@mrsmum3-6 I'll ask again, how does something that you don't have an answer to make it a miracle? Your lack of knowledge and inability to explain a situation or event doesn't make it a miracle. You can't even prove a god exists, so what justification do you have for claiming anything is a miracle? Rare events are not miracles.
1
@mrsmum3-6 Looking in the mirror just confirms I exist. It doesn't explain how. Your preposterously immoral god is just one possibility out of an infinite number of possibilities. How did you prove you weren't created by a universe creating pixie? Why was it a Christian god that you can't even prove exist? Until you provide evidence your god exists, you aren't justified in believing it. It's just another laughable myth
1
@mrsmum3-6 Looking in the mirror, just confirms I exist. Doesn't explain how. What makes you believe it's a Christian god?
1
@davidinchcliff4560 What god? There is no evidence any such thing exists.
1
@carolphillips4624 There is no more evidence for a god than there is for Santa Claus, yet you'd see an adult believing in Santa Claus as ridiculous. Believing in a god is unjustified and idiotic by definition, which is why the majority of people in Britain DON'T believe in a god. Not believing in silly things is the default position, it's actually your loss that you believe in something not supported by any evidence and which is something truly ridiculous and immoral. The story of Jesus makes no sense at all
1
@carolphillips4624 The majority of people in UK are atheist. Believing in a god is unjustified and Christianity is immoral. What sort of idiot thinks a human sacrifice is a moral thing, yet that is the crux of your belief.
1
@carolphillips4624 It's not my loss at all. Is it my loss I don't believe in Santa Claus? There is no more evidence for your god, and Christianity is immoral anyway, so why would I want to believe it? Your belief in god doesn't make it true either, so who has the best position? Is it better to believe in things which are supported by evidence, or is it better to believe in fairy tales like god?
1
@carolphillips4624 Says who Carol? How much do you worry about similar threats from those who follow Judaism, islam, Sikhism etc if you don't believe in those religions? Why would I worry about your idle threats? Your god is no more likely to he true than Leprechauns, Fairies or Loch Ness Monsters, yet you believe it, why?
1
@carolphillips4624 Says who Carol? How much do worry about the threats from other religions? You don't care right? Well your religion is no more likely to he true than a fairy tale, so what have I got to worry about?
1
@carolphillips4624 Start by proving there is a god before threatening me
1
@carolphillips4624 Prove your god exists first
1
@carolphillips4624 How can you tell your belief is true? What mechanism have you used ?
1
@thiskiwigal Ha ha ha. Those are some of the most laughably bad apologists for an immoral belief system like Christianity that I've ever seen. Why didn't you add Ken Ham or Ray Comfort in there to really expose how naive you are? There is NO EVIDENCE which separates religious beliefs from fairy tales. You literally believe something no better than Santa Claus.
