It's not a case of just increasing the number of chargers, it's that charging takes at least 20x longer than filling up with fuel, so you need at least 40x-60x the number of chargers as fuel pumps as a fuel of tank gets twice the mileage as a single charge. An electric car needs charged more often

@Brian-om2hh You're lucky enough to have a charger at home. Most people don't have a driveway, garage, dedicated parking space and by your own admission do little mileage. Evs work where I live now (Norway) but the charging network isn't in place for such a large population as the UK at the current time and the lack of availability for home charging with so few having dedicated parking to set up a charger. I do have a charger at my UK house, but most aren't that lucky
