To be fair. The auto correct on a phone would do that .

@ricardoconqueso The US President is not president of Puerto Rico, the US President is head of State, Puerto Rico's head of government is its Governor, not the US President. The US Virgin Islands no more have a US President than the British Virgin Islands have a British Prime Minister.

@trinathompson8587 Ha ha ha. Virgin Islanders are not represented in the upper or lower house in the US, do not pay US taxes, cannot vote in US Elections , are not subject to US law and are not governed by a US political party because they do not have Democrats or Republicans. They have their OWN LEADER. They are an overseas territory and the US President is a token role as head of state. King Charles is head of state of Canada, but he's not the King of Canada, it's a token role just as the US President is nothing more than a token title in the US Virgin Islands. Can you really not see the difference between a democratically elected leader of a country and a token role of an overseas territory? The US President does NOTHING in the Virgin Islands.

@trinathompson8587 I'm not defending Trump at all. I'm laughing at USA having the worst politicians in the western world.

@trinathompson8587 You're the ignoramus. The US President does not control the Virgin Islands, he is not the President of those islands. Virgin Islanders CANNOT vote in US elections, despite having ability to be US Citizens.
1
@trinathompson8587 The US President is only President of the US, not overseas territories.

@ricardoconqueso Biden has been as terrible a President as Trump was. How can a country as large as America have such useless leaders?
1
@trinathompson8587 The Virgin Islands cannot vote for the US President. Therefore they do not have a US President. The whole premise of the US is representation of an elected body. Virgin Islanders don't pay US tax, do not vote in US elections and are not subject to US laws. They do not have a US President. Lots of countries have overseas territories, but that doesn't mean their domestic President or Prime Minister is also the President or Prime Minister of these territories. Ask France, Belgium, UK, Netherlands, Denmark etc. The clue of the name of what the US President is in his title, President of the United States, which in electoral terms is the 50 states of the US. US Presidents have nothing more than a notional title in these territories.
1
@trinathompson8587 You don't understand the difference between a territory and the actual governed united states. Plenty countries have overseas territories, and whilst the leaders of those countries have nominal titles there places like the US Virgin Islands have their own leaders, their own taxes and their own laws. The US President and US Political parties do not govern the Virgin Islands, just like Britain doesn't govern Bermuda, Gibraltar the Falklands, or indeed the British Virgin Islands.
1
@trinathompson8587 It's a NOMINAL position. He's the head of state, not the actual FUNCTIONING president governing the US Virgin Islands. The Virgin Islands have their OWN leaders, their own laws and their own taxes. The position of US President to the Virgin Islands is Purely ceremonial . He does not act to the US Virgin Islands like he does to the US people. There is no Virgin Islands representation in either upper or lower house, there is no US Virgin Island voting for a US President, it is completely different to being the US President. I doubt you could even find the US Virgin Islands on a map.
1
@trinathompson8587 Do you not understand the difference between a titular role and a political role? He is head of state in US Virgin Islands, a nob political role. The US Virgin Islands has its OWN leader.
1
@trinathompson8587 YES, but it isn't the same role. Why can't you understand that? The US President in the USVI is a TOKEN role, it isn't the same as actually being a functioning, active president as he is in the US, they are DIFFERENT roles that share the same name. The US Virgin Islands is AUTONOMOUS, it governs ITSELF and the US President does NOTHING other than act as a token head of state.
1
@trinathompson8587 All I'm saying is the the US Presidents role in the Virgin Islands is not the same as the US President role in the US. One is head of state, the other is presidential. Virgin Islanders have their own laws and their own political parties, they are not subject to US rule
1
@trinathompson8587 Yes, but he's not president in the same way as he is in the US. It's an irrelevant title to any US President. Anyway, Trump and Biden are just examples of how inept US politicians and the political system are.

No wonder the world laughs at USA and American politics. Are these two idiots the best a country of 350m can do?
