@calebharman7661 You don't need to be a public figure to be defamed. Famous people don't have more rights than ordinary people. Defamation is to be falsely characterised or lied about. It is the same for everyone.

@calebharman7661 Defamation is a catch all term for slander and libel. ANYONE can be defamed.

@robertedge6902 I didn't say public figures were protected I said defamation affects all people equally. It doesn't matter whether you're the Prime Minister or a burger flipper. Slander and libel laws apply to everyone regardless of status.

If he's in shorts, how cold do you think it is? Besides you don't get hypothermia instantly.

@youdontwanttoknow5203 No they wouldn't. The machines allow for things like that and toothpaste and mouthwash haven't contained alcohol in decades, besides the body NATURALLY produces a small amount of alcohol, so you never truly breathe 0.0

Don't think the cop did much wrong there. Typical over reaction from the kid. Seems if the young today don't have EVERYTHING going their way at all times they think the world is against them and they're oppressed. Grow up son.

@crazysydnee I wouldn't be fine for being arrested for something I didn't do, but this guy is sufficiently suspicious enough to question further. He took about a minute to answer how long since he smoked dope. Clearly he had and he was trying to work out in his purple haze if it was still in his system.

@crazysydnee Doesn't matter. It's about whether they had cause to suspect him in order to arrest him.

The American system is hilarious. If you go to jail without the possibility of parole, why bother reading the rest of the sentences? Why not use a collective sentence for all the cases?

What has being "college athlete" got to do with it?
