  1. I visited London over 20 years ago, and it was very strange how rude a clerk working at a hotel counter was toward me. It definitely did not make me want to go back there again. At least in the US, most people know better than to be so overtly rude and racist toward others. (Although with these recent racist assaults, who know which is better.) Sorry you also had a bad experience.
