Great comments about the J.D. degree. The average salary is very misleading, because as you mentioned, there's a significant chunk of law school graduates who can't even find attorney positions after they graduate. This is all the more reason why at least half of all law schools need to be shut down, especially the bottom tier private schools. I say this as a practicing attorney who went to Georgetown law school and still made laughably low salaries, before I went solo.

Good luck and avoid high priced low tier private schools!

It's still very difficult to get a real tenured professor position. Those professors never quit. They stay on until they die or choose to retire. There have been articles in the media over the last few years about the plight of adjunct professors and how little they get paid. Some of them have to scramble to piece together different teaching positions and still wind up living out of their cars.

Yeah, I'm an attorney with a degree from a top law school, but yet I had plenty of clients who are nurses and made more than I was making at the time. One time I met someone who was a nurse practitioner making over 200,000 a year. And it's not all about the money, the nurses can really help people and save lives. Congrats on making the right career choice.

@ShaneHummus it does look strangely dark in the background, like you are filming in secret late at night. Great information you are sharing though!

Yes. The private schools are ridiculously overpriced-- 60k/year to be taught by pompous academics who couldn't even get regular jobs in the real working world? Then the students graduate and realize they have to do retail work, at least many of them who get worthless degrees. Now that most students are learning online, they are realizing how ripped off they are by private school tuition. Even public school college tuition has gotten crazy. The average working family can't afford it.
