  3. Yes. Totally. It is nothing as depicted in movies and tv shows. I say this as a Georgetown law school graduate who is now a solo practitioner.

  4. Anything is possible, but the chances of employment and success diminish the lower you go in the law school rankings.

  5.  @Robertking1996  that's great to hear-- but from what I've seen, the really rich/successful lawyers are ones who graduated years ago. I'm in North Carolina and lived in the DC area before, where attorneys are a dime a dozen due to all the law schools. My sister moved to South Carolina & couldn't find an attorney position, after getting a UNC law degree and experience working for a mid-sized firm. For every person who managed to get a prestigious job from a low-ranked law school, there are many more who washed out of the profession. The law schools, of course, like to spotlight those graduates who made it, to encourage more young people to apply.

  6.  @Robertking1996  they weren't corporate firms. The firms I worked for were small ones that did criminal, traffic, workers comp, employment law, etc. & my sister did immigration for a firm with other practice areas. Anyway, I only started making good money after going solo. My sister wound up doing doc review and is now a stay at home mom. I made some videos about my experiences that are on my channel, if you want to take a look. :)

  7. Your google search information is totally wrong, unfortunately. Medical law either means working in the medical malpractice field or as in-house counsel to large medical companies/institutions. If you have health problems, you may have difficulty working those long hours.
