Scott Ritter is a regular to Russian State run media agencies such as RT and Sputnik. He published books in Russia. That's how he made his money. Should we invite him to this channel? He has also been caught twice for child sex offenses.

Finland and Sweden had different ideas. It is a multipolar world. Just like Anwar the prime Minister said, each country can express itself.

As a Chinese, I am eagerly looking forward to the Winter Olympics in February. During the Beijing games in 2008, there were widespread internet and broadcast censorship. The country's image was severely tarnished. If the west need to engage with China, then basic communication freedoms should be respected. Once again, sincerely hoping the games will be a successful one.

Many countries have laws restricting foreign land ownerships, but you can't discriminate against one foreign ownership and allow another.
19
Good for you. I know a few Laos people from my school days. They are nice people.
18
That's exactly what Sri Lanka is doing. It has become an economic colony to you know which country.
18
She's going to United States for university. Way to go.
18
The Basic Law in Hong Kong gives the people voting rights.
17
That's an excellent presentation Cyrus. Both China and United States need each other to prosper during these difficult economic and political times.
17
You don't have to agree with China's politics in order to engage in trade and commerce with China.
17
@Wbliss There's no problem at all for her choosing an American university. In fact, more than 300000 students from mainland China choose to study in American universities this year.
17
@Cyrus Janssen As an example. The US Consulate General in Hong Kong, Mr. Gregory May, not only speaks Mandarin, but also very familiar with the Chinese culture (he has previously stationed in China). This greatly helps the US image in Hong Kong. If US truly wants to improve its relationship with China and the Chinese people, IT CAN BE DONE.

Great point 👍

Thanks Cyrus for the fantastic video. China's zero covid policy has proven to be correct. Credits should really be given to the Chinese people (in China and aborad) for willing to sacrifice for the common good. In short, we have the "ask not what the country will do for you, ask what what you will do for the country. " mentality.
16
Chinese economy has many issues, just like virtually every country. But to say China is collapsing is ridiculous.
16
Turkey is being smart. They don't want to be dominated by one country. Whether it is USA or Russia.
16
Some companies are indeed moving out of China for many reasons.
15
How do you know that the Michaels are criminals? Any evidence?
15
Why did so many Chinese, including people from Hong Kong, move to USA?
15
There are a lot of things the rest of the world can learn from China, and there are a lot of things China can learn from other countries. Watched the episode, Cyrus. You did a great job. Piers Morgan is a wonderful host, always like him.
15
He predicted that Russia would crush Ukraine 2 years ago. Very smart.
15
Cyrus, you're absolutely right. Since 2016, the reputation of America has gone downhill.
15
With 1.4 billion Chinese people, the world's second biggest economy and minimal energy resources, there's no question Middle East countries are trading heavily with China. In fact, China is the biggest importer of energy in the world.
15
You're absolutely right on..
15
China is already a global superpower and arguably the strongest economy in the world. There are many ways for China to improve its image abroad (in Western and non Western countries). If it can mediate the current Ukrainian war, if it can peacefully reunify with Taiwan, if it can tolerate the freedoms and democracy in Hong Kong (and elsewhere in China). These will greatly improve the image of China and Chinese.
14
China is, in a sense, decoupling from United States economically.
14
Thank you Pascal and Cyrus for these wonderful 2 sessions. I wish there are more dialogs between the western people and Chinese so that everyone can understand the other more.
14
It is inevitable that China will develop its ability to domestically manufacture high-end chips.
14
China has already sanction Australian imports for 2 years. So trade sanctions is not just for USA.
13
That's a good video Cyrus. Good to see the success of Tik Tok. Hopefully, one day China can relax the internet censorship and Tik Tok and Douyin can merge together.
13
@michellecheng7101 I agree with you. Most Hong Kong people identify themselves as Chinese and care for China and fellow Chinese. They just want to enjoy the freedoms and democracy offered by the Basic Law. Polls after polls found that the number of separatists is very small.
13
Ukraine has the right to defend itself against Russian imperialism.
13
Give kudos to the Canadians athletes the journalists. They did a great job.
13
Russia does not have the right to make rules to other countries, including Ukraine.
12
@神州 Shenzhou I respect your opinion but disagree strongly regarding the colonial mentality of the Indian people. India is an example of why democracy works for a country with a large population (India is the most populated country in the world).
12
India and China need to fix their border conflict as soon as possible. Compare with the complicated China/Taiwan conflict, it is much more manageable. The reward of peace will be more substantial as you're talking about the 2 most populated countries of the world with nuclear arsenals.
12
That's a heck of a project.
12
Great video. There are lots of opportunities (and risks) about investing in China.
12
They do love the rise of Taiwan and Japan. Do you know why?
12
China's policy towards Hong Kong changed a lot in the last 26 years. The freedoms in Hong Kong are much more restricted.
12
Every country in the world has negatives amd positives. The United States is no exception (so is China). What Americans need to do is learn from other countries and adapt accordingly. Realizing that the American way is not the only way. Realizing that American democracy and freedoms are not the only democracy and freedoms. That takes effective leadership and political skills from the government to do it. Yes, many Americans are not happy with their government, but are they willing to buckle down and change?
12
This "THE END" comment was posted more than 1 year ago. But it was still lingering on.
11
@CyrusJanssen agree with you. This war is completely unnecessary. Hundreds of thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives lost for nothing. Russia should have withdrawn a long time ago.
11
@Shenzhou. NATO is producing more ammunition than Russia and North Korea combined. Wagner group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin explicitly said that Russia didn't have enough ammunition to supply him while fighting against Ukraine. The best thing Russia should have done now is to withdraw from Ukraine, just like the best thing Japan should have done in 1940 was to withdraw from China. Ukrainians defend their country like the Chinese did.
11
@shaheer151 I said the Russian army is running out of ammunition. That's what the Wagner group said. I won't lose any sleep if you disagree with me.
11
China is already leading, arguably.
11
AI should be a shared resource among all the countries.
11
"Identify isn't a matter of foreign policies, it is a matter of the heart. " Great quote Cyrus. 👍 You may not like the policies of the CCP, but you can still love China.
11
The creativities of Chinese entrepreneurs are simply amazing.
11
Chinese people are known for hard working and dedication.
