@joecleary579 How do you hold a Russia election when all the major opponents were killed or banned from running?

Various European countries continue to support Ukraine with weapons and other means during the period when US paused it support. This showed that this is not just an US issue. This is a European issue. If Ukraine falls, Eastern European countries will be wide open to the Putin invasion, who had made no secret about restoration of past Soviet influences.

No election is possible when your country is being invaded by another country. Russia is not being invaded.

When the Russian army was facing severe men shortage (150,000 soldiers have died), they used prisoners and mercenaries from other countries (eg, Napal) to fill the gaps. Ukraine can do the same thing.

@davidcampbell3642 The number was based on the published information from the Ministries of Defense from the United Kingdom and France, published on May 4th, 2024. The numbers are not surprising. Russia is resorted to using inmates as well as mercenaries from other countries (such as Nepal) to cover the losses.

Colonel Davis is sadly mistaken regarding Russian invasion of Ukraine. Putin invaded Ukraine because he perceived to be threatening by Ukraine. Similar to Adolf Hitler's invasion into Poland. Should Russia win in Ukraine, Putin will not hesitate to continue ANY country (Nato or non Nato) should he perceive to be a threat to the national security of Russia.

@Dave-bf2lc Germany only has 1 leader between 1933 and 1945. Does it make Hitler a great leader? How many special military operations Hitler/Putin have committed?
1
@Dave-bf2lc Zelenskyy should have learned from Putin to kill all his political opponents. He didn't. Democracy means something to Ukraine and Ukrainians.

@Shenzhou. These opposition candidates were allowed by Putin because Putin knew they wouldn't change the election results. What happened to the candidate Grigory Alekseyevich Yavlinsky? What happened to Alexei Navalny?
1
@Shenzhou. I didn't say Grigory Alekseyevich Yavlinsky or Alexei Navalny would definitely change the outcome. I asked what happened to them?
1
@Shenzhou. And, of course, what happened to Yevgeny Prigozhin?
1
@Shenzhou. Why was Yavlinsky banned from running in 2024, despite collecting over 100000 signatures as according to the law?
1
@Shenzhou. why did Prigozhin die under mysterious circumstances? Why there wasn't an investigation? If such a major political death occurs in the States or other countries, there will be a thorough investigation to see who is reasonable. Why did none take place? With this kind of system, can we call the Russian elections free and fair?

@harryflashman4542 Russians don't have any other choices. All political opponents have been exiled, jailed, or murdered. Putin has constructed a system of absolute power akin to the Tsar in imperial Russia. He can murdered Yevgeny Prigozhin without any repercussion. Just like Adolf Hitler in Germany, it will end in disaster in the battlefield.
