  4. There are many ways for China to improve its reputation. The recent crackdown in Hong Kong and the continuing trade sanctions by China (towards Australia) don't help.

  10.  @Shenzhou.  Hong Kong government should have scrapped the extradition bill LONG AGO . There are many ways to solve the political issues regarding extradition. For example, Australia and China (who don't see eye to eye) seek help with each other regarding criminal cases (13 cases in 2 years ). The HK government must bear some responsibility of the unrest. The unpopularity of Hong Kong government is well know (ask Cyrus). Not surprisingly Carrie Lam didn't seek for a second term.

  12.  @Shenzhou.  Hong Kong people knows what extradition bill was for. The HK government didn't. If the government did, they would have scrapped it long time ago, and there's no more riots. I hate the rioters, but incompetent government must be accountable to their actions.

  18. United States will not be able to sanction effectively towards China. Just like China was unable to effectively sanction towards Australia. The effects of Chinese trade sanctions towards Australian imports were minimal at best. Don't be shooting at your foot.
