Thank you Pascal and Cyrus for these wonderful 2 sessions. I wish there are more dialogs between the western people and Chinese so that everyone can understand the other more.

Singapore has been promoting independent international diplomacy. It has maintained good relationships with both China and United States. That's not the case for G7.

What about the disruptive sanctions between China and Australia?
2
@wrongchannel2780 China can do anything against United States and expect no retaliation. We love China.
2
So, let's move to China. About 2000 people move to China every year. What's the number in United States?
2
@Shenzhou. polls conducted by the Strait Times showing that 95% of Singaporeans support the sanctions towards Russia. Singaporean government listened to its people

One party state is not popular over the world.
2
@mistyfuture4925 how many countries in the southern hemisphere have 1 party state?
2
@Andy-P they will vote with the fists, or they will vote with the feet.

@Shenzhou. when hong kong was returned to China, freedoms of press and speech (among others) were promised to Hong Kong people. Given hong kong is part of China, that means western style freedoms (human rights) exist in Chinese lands, whether Beijing likes it or not.
2
@Shenzhou. why does Western want a regime change in Hong Kong? Already, no chief executive is able to finish 2 terms. I am not going to bring up the approval ratings of the chief executives among Hong Kong people.
2
@Shenzhou. you totally missed my point. Hong Kong people enjoys FREEDOMS before and after the handover that mainland doesn't have. They have uncensored internet. They can criticize the government thru speech and press. They are free to use Facebook and Whatsapp. You were talking about DEMOCRACY.
2
@Shenzhou. May I ask, you don't know the elections and freedoms of Hong Kong people changed after the security laws? Didn't the Chinese MSM mentioned that?

That's a good question. If Taiwanese citizens (Taiwan is part of China) are giving a multiple choice question, with the same answers except adding E) Tsai Ing-Wen. Who will they choose?
1
@wrongchannel2780 Yes. One of the weaknesses of China (as stated by Pascal) is its lack of understanding to the mindset of western countries.
1
@wrongchannel2780 I am Chinese. Of course I need China. Lol

China needs to understand the western human right perspectives when it deals with Hong Kong. China also need to know the western human rights perspectives if it want to peacefully reunite with Taiwan.
1
@relaxwhc Regime change. That must be why Carrie Lam was unable to run a second term.
1
@Pig Kimjonun That's a shameful and painful part of our history.
1
@Shenzhou. I was replying to a comment regarding China's understand of regime change. No Hong Kong chief executive was able to complete 2 terms. China is well aware of that.
1
@Shenzhou. But is it still the same freedoms now after the National security laws?
1
@Shenzhou. Hong Kong government provided zero evidence of foreign involvement according to the chief executive Carrie Lam.

@tigermacan3474 USA supports Vietnam and Indonesia quite a lot. Whether it is justified or not is up to debate.
