  10.  @Shenzhou. when hong kong was returned to China, freedoms of press and speech (among others) were promised to Hong Kong people. Given hong kong is part of China, that means western style freedoms (human rights) exist in Chinese lands, whether Beijing likes it or not.

They can criticize the government thru speech and press. They are free to use Facebook and Whatsapp. You were talking about DEMOCRACY.

  14. That's a good question. If Taiwanese citizens (Taiwan is part of China) are giving a multiple choice question, with the same answers except adding E) Tsai Ing-Wen. Who will they choose?

  17. China needs to understand the western human right perspectives when it deals with Hong Kong. China also need to know the western human rights perspectives if it want to peacefully reunite with Taiwan.
