  16. This is such an unnecessary situation. Too bad the event planners can't be fined for violating the ADA. The loophole for the ADA in many states is the age of a building. Years ago, I attended a work-related conference in a historic building. When I got there, I found out, the conference was on the 2nd floor - no elevator. The host offered to piggyback me upstairs. THAT was the most demeaning moment of my career. I did not take her up on it. When people are in their work mode and need to have a power mindset, it can throw you off your game when your physical weakness is the thing everyone sees the most. Bravo, to you Councilman Hinds. I hope this brings about change.
