  1. I don't like the mixture of sheer fantasy and science. The overall plot is more fantasy than anything else, driven by stupid nonsense (like the whole idea to find another planet instead of finding a solution for the plant growing problem) and overall, wormholes are not really scientific, especially not the use of them. They are a mere theory and even the theory makes no sense, because even in theory it would need a) impossible amounts of energy, b) matter that does simply not exist and c) even then it would just obliterate anythign getting close to it and even without that never be big enough to travel through, not even a single human. The whole time dileation was utter nonsense, ESPECIALLY because they knew about it, what makes the idea alone to even get close to that planet just insane. It also makes no sense that the don't see or at least know about the waves. And of course a time dilation of that magnitude would just shred the planet, it would grind down itself, because it obviously spins quiete fast, but all those parts would spin at different speed by the time dilation and by that the planet would rip and tear itself apart, even ignoring the gravitational forces which overall are the only reason such a time dilation would exist in the first place - and of course by that magnitude just crush the planet to dust. The whole "travel into the black hole" was also sheer fantasy. It would be acceptable if he just vanishes and the idea is that his "soul" made it into the blackhole or whatever. But since he later escapes it, we most assume that his body was intact the whole time. Everything aside, but the main point of a black hole is obviously a) it's gigantic mass and b) of such a level that the gravity of this mass become even stronger than all other forces, leadig to an impossible density. So the idea to travel into a black hole is like the idea to travel into a block of solid metal - just 10000000000000000000 worse. And that without all the other problems. Interstellar is a fantasy movie with nice pictures, but it got nothing to do with science of scienc fiction and sadly got a pretty stupid plot.
