Those gains were just Russia shortening the frontline, what is a logical step when you switch to a war of attrition, since you want a straight frontline for that and at best some bulges here and there for manveures like encirclement - but even those will have a straight fortification behind it. Russia would have held Kherson city to keep the city intact and let the peopel live there even at that disadvantage of a wide river in their back, but with the bombardement of the dam by NATO/Banderites, this risk was too high and an absolute correct assassement as it was shown later when the dam was indeed destroyed.

@FlyingMonkeyDevil It's simply logical reality. The war 2014 started was a civil war inside Ukraine, the coup regime against those who didn't accept the coup, which mainly lived in the east and south. It's overall Russia that intervened 2022 and joined those militias/soldiers of Donbass. And why should those stop fighting?

@horoshkoaleksandr273 You do get that Robotyne was a village with ~500 people?

Not the point. Look at Nazi germany and what it did to Europe or what fascistic Japan did to China at the same time, while having way less people.

@scroopynooperz9051 Problem is that money in general is worthless and if you think and act otherwise, you just dig the grave for the fake system you create with that.

I mean, Ukraine per se could have the capabilities. But that region is NATO territory and on top of that they would never dare to attack per se the infrastructure of NATO country (this pipeline is overall very important for germany to get gas and was a big investment) without NATO or at least NATO emperor USA giving an okay - if not order. Imagine if NATO would see that indeed as a terror attack against its infrastructure (what it is...).

@tilenjeraj2684 You mean beside detonated prices which are a problem for millions, make the debt explode and bleed our the economy?
1
@tilenjeraj2684 That's everywhere the case and at every time. Why should rich people risk their lives in the army? You may have some, but the majority will do other things. Most countries also don't want the most educated to join the armys but do what they studied instead. You overall still have to continue to run the country in war. You think the well educated and wealthy join the army in any western country? Some, but in general, nope.

@tilenjeraj2684 The reason Russia does not end the war in days is that this would burn Ukraine to the ground with hundredtousands of not millions of dead civilians. They COULD do that. They don't want to. Because this is no war. It's an SMO. They don't see Ukraine as the enemy, they see the Banderites regime as the enemy and that Ukraine has to be freed from it. You don't want to see how a war would look like.

@tilenjeraj2684 Well likely more than 25% of Americans are stupid, sooo it's no surprise that you get 25% believe such absurd nonsense. You clearly got no clue of warfare nor about the situation in Ukraine.

@strawdemindset Child, Ukraine was neutral before 2014 and traded well with Russia and the west alike. It was the west who destroyed that, pushed an illegal coup, instantly followed by an just as illegal sell out of Ukraine and its people to the west, what was a catastrophy and one of the main reasons why so many especially in the economical strong east were against it. Then NATO ordered its proxy to just crush this with military force - funny, after it said that the coup is fine, since the democractically elected government dared to have police forcers on the street, where 'demonstrants' threw molotoves at them. But the new regime bombarding cities with cluster ammunition and alike, that was fine. Hell, you can't make this up.
